Regenyei Brevus Longsword Trainer

The Regenyei Brevus Longsword Trainer is a compact, agile longsword designed to combine the safety and flexibility expected from a federschwert with the appearance, proportions, and handling of a traditional longsword.

At approximately 127 cm overall, the Brevus is noticeably shorter than many modern tournament feders and sits closer to the dimensions of many surviving medieval and early Renaissance longswords. The result is a fast, responsive trainer that offers excellent point control, quick recovery, and confident handling in both technical drills and sparring.

The distinctive triple-fullered blade reduces unnecessary weight while maintaining the durability and flexibility needed for regular HEMA use. It also provides excellent feedback in the bind, making the Brevus particularly well suited to fencers who want a training sword that behaves more like a longsword without giving up the safety characteristics of a modern sparring weapon.
